The A&H Medical Business Unit (MBU) takes a full-arenaflex approach to designing and servicing a robust slate of products tailored to needs in Employer Stop Loss, Excess Medical, and Ancillary and Supplemental benefits. Our diversified business model includes program partnerships as well as direct sales in Employer Stop Loss. At year-end 2025, the MBU recorded over $1B in gross premium written. Job Description: Information about the Role, Line of Business and Team: The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving premium growth for the CFSL team on a regional basis consistent with overall MBU objectives under minimal supervision by managing producer relationships through continued customer service and marketing activities. What you will do: • Develop and be accountable for achieving annual and longer-term business plans on a national basis for designated region in conjunction with CFSL and MBU leadership focusing on new business sales, renewal persistency, loss ratio and close ratio. • Establish a detailed understanding of and be able to clearly articulate CFSL's ESL products and services, value proposition, risk appetite, profitability and performance goals. • Establish detailed knowledge of existing CFSL producers; strengthen C&F relationship through participation in producer calls and visits to retain desirable business. • Ensure new production sources align with company strategy and financial objectives • Design and implement strategies to improve underperforming producers or to better allocate resources and producer focus. • Ensure consistent flow of communication and workflow alignment between CFSL Sales and Underwriting, Claims, and other CFSL functional teams. • Understand and mitigate potential channel conflicts across C&F ESL portfolio • Identify customer needs and collaborate across the organization to design innovative solutions. Create and implement sales strategies to develop new production sources through cross selling and producer sourcing tools to achieve regional and national sales goals. • Represent C&F at multiple industry events each year, facilitating both producer opportunities and high exposure panel opportunities. • Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships within all areas of the organization. • Actively participate in regular sales/underwriting meetings and other communication forums critical to the success of the collective team. • Provide feedback and utilize reporting and forecasting tools on all quoted business. Perform regular block and producer analysis on designated producer metrics to ensure CFSL and producer accountability. • Coordination with VP of Sales and C&F Marketing and Communications teams to develop current and future industry data and marketing collateral. • Maintain awareness of market trends, products, market participants and competitive practices, and identify emerging threats to the department. • Participate in strategic discussions and initiatives to ensure CFSL sales team is aligned with MBU/A&H goals. • Participate in continued education to further their knowledge of Crum & Forster’s product offerings. • Manage expenses within assigned budget. • Role model the A&H culture, values and C&F core competencies What YOU will bring to C&F: • Thorough knowledge of Employer Stop Loss. • Strong knowledge of and ability to employ successful selling methods and techniques for stop loss and other A&H products. • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task with an emphasis on quality and customer service • Strong negotiation and influencing skills Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from an Accredited institution required • Industry designations applicable to area of specialization a plus • 10+ years of related work experience in underwriting and/or sales • Strong computer skills and arenaflex Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Knowledge of Connexure a plus • Travel required What C&F will bring to you: • Competitive compensation package • Generous 401K employer match • Employee Stock Purchase plan with employer matching • Generous Paid Time Off • Excellent benefits that go beyond health, dental & vision. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $82,500.00 to a maximum of $155,100.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
